Asiko Art School: Deadline Extended, April 26, 2015

Asiko Art School has extended its deadline for applicants until April 26, 2015. A project of the Centre of Contemporary Art Lagos (CCA Lagos), the Asiko Art School is an innovative educational plartform that combines training in studio, critical, and curatorial pactices. This year's program will take place in Maputo, Mozambique, titled "A History of Contemporary Art in Maputo in 4 Weeks", from June 22-July 18, 2015.

Over the course of 30 days, the art school programme will focus partially on technique and primarily on methodology, critical thinking, and the implementation of conceptual ideas. The programme will be of benefit to people interested in thinking through the conception and execution of work, artists who are curious and interested in experimenting with modes of practice and thought outside of the traditional modes of working but not to its total exclusion.
