Bogobiri House presents its monthly concert series with veteran Afrobeat musician Duro Ikujenyo on May 1, 2015, at 8 PM. As a central hub for Lagos' creative community, Bogobiri reguarly hosts events relating to art, music, and culture. Duro Ikujenyo is a musical troubador, ever roaming in search of sounds, their history and their meaning. He is a keyboardist and leader of the band Age of Aquarius. In 1978 he joined Fela Kuti’s band Egypt 80 as a pianist and was to play with Fela on many international tours and more than a dozen albums.This reoccuring event has recently had a makeover, which now features an exciting line up of guest muscians at each concert. This week, Duro welcomes special guest act Wale Ojo, back in Nigeria after studies in the UK. Other special guests include Aditya Chellaram on sax and Mendo with spoken words.
