Lateef Olajumoke’s newest body of work explores the normative roles of women and the definitions of gender in Nigerian society. Olajumoke’s paintings reference a common tale of the metropolitan wife that loses her individualism to become the idealized spouse.

The exhibition is held at the Moorhouse Hotel, Ikoyi, April 18-April 30, 2015. A Finissage reception is scheduled for April 30, 2015, at 5 PM.
